The Losi/Vattera pin is M4 with a 2mm pin, Axial is M4 with a 2.5mm pin. Driveshafts always come with the axial type pin (SSD00237).

Universal joints are all Axial spec. The Losi pin still works fine.

Good quality BUT

...the drilling at the opposide side of the thread is too wide so the original Losi Pin has no hold on that side. I doubt that the pin is strong enough, so it may break off in the long term. Using the shaft on my Bruiser with 4mm grub screws, fits perfectly rcBitz reply - I have looked into this and spoken to SSD and this is their updated information.
