Etronix Deans Plug (1 Male/1 Female) w/ Protective Sleeve ET0787P

This is a pair or t style plug connectors used on RC for battery and ESCs. They are a handed connector to help avoid reverse polarity when connecting. These require the wires to be soldered and hAave an insulated cover. 13.5x8x19mm long, the male is a little longer.

Deans connectors, also known as T-plugs, are a type of electrical connector commonly used in the RC hobby for connecting batteries and speed controllers (ESCs) in electric RC cars, planes, and other vehicles. They are known for their low resistance, secure connection, and ability to handle moderate to high currents.

Key Features / Characteristics:
Low Resistance:
Deans connectors are designed with spring-loaded, gold-plated terminals that minimize resistance, ensuring efficient power transfer from the battery to the motor.
Secure Connection:
The male and female connectors fit snugly together, relying on friction to maintain a solid connection, which is important for preventing accidental disconnection during operation.
Polarity Protection:
Deans connectors are designed to prevent incorrect polarity connections, meaning you can't accidentally plug the battery in backwards, which could damage the ESC or other components.
Current Rating:
While some older versions have a lower current rating, newer versions of Deans connectors, like the Amass Deans, can handle a continuous current of 25A and bursts up to 50A, according to Overlander Batteries.
Compatibility:
Deans connectors are compatible with original T-connectors and are often used as an upgrade from less efficient connectors like the Mini-Tamiya.
Size and Weight:
They are relatively compact and lightweight, making them suitable for a wide range of RC vehicles.

Pros:
Low resistance for efficient power delivery, Secure and reliable connection, Polarity protection, Relatively small and lightweight, and Easy to solder.

Cons:
Can be difficult to grip and connect, especially with gloves.
May melt if overheated during soldering.
Can be challenging to remove once connected.
Some users have reported issues with knock-off or poorly manufactured Deans connectors, which can be prone to failure.

Alternatives:
XT60:
A popular alternative, especially for higher current applications, offering a more robust connection and easier handling.
EC3/EC5:
Another option for high-current applications, offering even more power handling capability.
