What is FTX8318?

FTX8318is arear axle driveshaft (long version)used in the rear axle assembly of certain FTX RC vehicles. It is an original FTX spare part designed to fit directly into compatible axle housings without modification. See image of the axle to see if you need any other parts while you replace this.

Function

• Transfers drive from therear differentialto therear wheel hub.

• Forms part of therear drivetrain, delivering power to the rear wheels.

• Thelonger lengthis required on the side of the axle where additional spacing exists due to differential offset.

Compatibility

FTX8318 is fitted to theFTX Kanyon rear axleand is standard equipment on:

• FTX Kanyon 1:10 XL Trail Crawler

• FTX Kanyon Mountain Rescue (2-Speed)

It is also used on other FTX models that share the same axle design, including certain Outlaw variants.

Position in the Rear Axle Assembly

Within the FTX Kanyon rear axle:

• Theaxle housingcontains the differential gears.

• FTX8318 installs between thediff outputand therear wheel hex/hub.

• One side of the axle uses thislong shaft, while the opposite side typically uses theshort driveshaft (FTX8317).
